Who am I and why am I blogging?

I am not a first time blogger, just new to WordPress and I have decided to start over and focus on a different part of my life. Last night I had posted a whole long blog about me, where I came from, and how I got to where I am now. Sadly, it did not save so here I am, starting fresh, once again.

A little about me:  I have been married for eleven years in upcoming April.  My husband I met when we were in our senior year of high school. Soon after living together and soon after that getting married at the ripe old age of 19. Crazy, I know.  I blame that decision on the Navy. He enlisted when he was 19 and since then we have lived in Pensacola, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Brunswick, ME; Lemoore, CA, Newport, RI; and finally we are back here in Jacksonville, FL.

Since then we have had three daughters who are now ages 9, 6, and 4.  We have two English Bulldogs, Bruno and Lola, a cat named Tinkerbell, and two big fish tanks that I am suck cleaning since my husband is on deployment.  This is our fourth long deployment, I am not counting the 2, 3, or 4 month stints here and there.

On to more important information about me!  Vain, yes I am.  I took a good 7 years to work on my Associates degree, that was a huge accomplishment!  Then in 2009ish (?), so many places and dates it can be hard to remember, I graduated in one year with my BA in Elementary Education.  Then this last year I have done my master’s degree in Secondary Education and I am currently finishing my last 8 weeks of student teaching.  I know, I know, student teaching at the age of 30, am I crazy? Behind my peers? Ummm…probably.  But I love it and I am so excited to *hopefully* get a job this summer and be teaching in my own classroom this fall.

So this blog will kind of be an outlet to complain about being alone during deployment, dealing with 3 little monsters, and all the ups and downs that goes on in the classroom!  And maybe I can throw some good things in there too. We’ll see…….
